Dr Kirsten Stafford

 

MBChB MRCP FRCR

Dr Kirsten Stafford graduated from University of Cape Town Medical School in 1999. She worked in South Africa for 2 years before moving to the UK in 2002. She trained in General Medicine for 5 years and completed the Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP), before starting Radiology training at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in 2007. After completing the Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR) in 2013, she then did a fellowship in Breast Radiology at The Royal Free Hospital in 2014 and was appointed as a Consultant Radiologist at Frimley Park Hospital in 2015.

Dr Stafford is a General Diagnostic Radiologist with a primary subspecialist interest in Breast Radiology. She is experienced in all aspects of Breast Imaging including mammograms, tomosynthesis, contrast-enhanced mammograms, ultrasound and MRI. She is also experienced in all aspects of Interventional Breast Radiology including ultrasound-guided, stereotactic/tomosynthesis-guided and vacuum assisted procedures. She has a close working relationship with the Breast multidisciplinary team of surgeons, oncologists, pathologists and breast care nurses.

Dr Stafford’s secondary subspecialist interest is Paediatric Radiology, including ultrasound, xray, CT and MRI reporting.

Aside from her clinical role, Dr Stafford also has a keen interest in education and training and is the Training Programme Director for Radiology training in Surrey.
