Dr Barber is a Consultant Radiologist with a subspecialty interest in Musculoskeletal Imaging.

He completed his undergraduate medical training at the University of Cape Town Groote Schuur Hospital in South Africa. After completing basic surgical training in London and becoming a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2005, he pursued a career in diagnostic radiology. He developed his musculoskeletal interest at St George’s Hospital in London and took up an Honorary Fellowship in Musculoskeletal Imaging at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Oxford in his final year of training.

He has several peer reviewed radiological publications and presentations at international meetings. Dr Barber has expertise in magnetic resonance imaging, ultrasound, computed tomography and a wide variety of interventional procedures. He specialises in all aspects of musculoskeletal imaging with particular interest in ultrasound guided musculoskeletal interventions. His philosophy is a patient centred approach working in close collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
